Giuseppe Palermo, a talented DJ and electronic music producer from Sicily, sought an innovative visual concept for his new EP cover.
He envisioned a design that would capture the dreamlike essence of his sound, seamlessly blending it with elements of abstract painting.
The goal was to create a cover that not only embodied the ethereal quality of his music but also stood out as a work of art in its own right.

The core concepts behind the project were the physical nature of the record and the abstract notions of time and space, as reflected in the EP’s title.
In the DJ scene, the term "record" is also slang for a single track or a vinyl, adding a layer of double meaning to the concept.

The goal was to "freeze time" by transporting the record—an analog object with a tactile, nostalgic quality—into a digital realm perceived as intangible.
The challenge lay in designing a cover that could seamlessly bridge these two worlds: the analog and the digital.

The abstract form was achieved through the exploration of painterly marks on the surface of the record. Brushes and spatulas were used with acrylic paints to create the desired effect.
